ALLY REEVES:Bio

Ally Reeves grew up in east Tennessee in a small town called Etowah that sits at the foot of the smokey mountains. She once had a pet possum and explored mysterious cow pastures. She once equipped her bike with strange storage devices and plotted a great bicycle escape. She once built a raft with her sister and brother which was pushed out on a river with a candle to light the way.

Reeves' subject matter has addressed issues of autonomy, escapism, hierarchy in institutions, public and private space, eating locally, and living sustainably. An advocate for the expansion of artists roles, Reeves works in fields such as education, curation, community organization, robotics, and more.

Currently, Reeves is a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
